About Byron Bay

Famous for its mix of stunning surf beaches, picturesque pastoral land, dramatic ridgelines, cosmopolitan people and inspirational creative vibe, people have always been drawn to the most easterly point of Australia.

There is a calendar full of exciting events throughout the year, including the world class Byron Bay Film Festival in January, Bluesfest at Easter; Writers Festival in late July early August; or for those of you who love a real challenge – the Byron Bay Ocean Swim Classic, Malibu Classic and Byron Triathlon in May; the Sample Food Festival in September and Byron Bay Surf Festival in October.  For the actively minded, there is a great variety of things to do. Hang glide by the lighthouse, soaring like a bird over the beauty of Wategos Beach. There’s ultralight flights and sea kayaking out with the dolphins. You can take a surfing lesson (you might surprise yourself), parachute out of a plane, horse ride, bike ride, snorkel, scuba dive at our Julian Rocks Marine park reserve, play a round of golf; do yoga, pilates, singing, dancing, acting and much more!

Or if you feel you just need time out to relax and rejuvenate, why not have a pampering treatment, a therapeutic massage or choose from one of many healing experiences available.. Ayurvedic treatments, Japanese acupuncture, Shiatsu, Intuitive bodywork and more. Or perhaps you would like to look into the future by having an astrology, tarot or psychic reading; or even sit in with a visiting guru..its all part of the Byron Experience!
